Containerize kids rooms

The single deep toybox turns into a black hole.

Open shelves turn into avalanche sources.

Fix them with containers – from cardboard boxes through laundry baskets to snazzy translucent plastic, a container for each type of Stuff helps keep things under control. Label with words or pictures according to your kids age.

Tossing unbreakable toys into open-topped boxes is a fun clean-up game. Lids on less-often-used boxes keep the dust out.

Other kinds of containers as well as boxes also work: suspended nets for awkward shaped or wet things, fishing tackle boxes for toys with tiny parts, even a red wagon for garden toys that need to be brought out and put away between playtimes.
